Another Marble City Metric Century is being organized for July 16th of 2011. Our usual plan for an event in mid-April would have overlapped with Easter and the Cheaha Challenge. This event will be all about the ride. We'll have rest stops and after event food as we've had in the past, but our plan is to cut the frills and offer this event for a small fee. $25.00 Downloadable forms available on COGS website.

2009 Marble City Metric Century... done! Thanks to all of you for your contribution in
making it a big success. We will have the figures together soon for the
Scholarship and the Trail Fund but the preliminary figures look great. We more
than doubled the attendance. There were lots of compliments on the park, the
route, and the organization, all well deserved. Our century is as well put on as
any I've attended and is the best for its size, period. Take a bow folks. Great job.

The 2008 Metric Century is history...

So all the planning and work is done and the Metric Century is history. Although the weather threatened to spoil our event, the skies cleared in time for a good morning ride. Thank you to all the folks who braved the cloudy skies and came anyway. Thank you to all our sponsors who helped make this a special event. Everyone thought we had done a good job with our planning and route. They all looked forward to a repeat next year.
